Terms of Service

These terms cover buying from LEONITA and booking lessons or performances with us. LEONITA is run by Jenna Lyons from Missoula, Montana, United States. By placing an order or making a booking you agree to them.

WHAT WE SELL

Handcrafted jewelry, made in small batches and largely in sterling silver. Because every piece is made by hand, there is natural variation in finish, patina and dimension. Photographs are taken as faithfully as we can manage, but screens differ and a stone or a hammered surface will never be identical twice. That variation is the nature of the work, not a fault.

Prices are in United States dollars and do not include sales tax or shipping, which are shown before you pay.

ORDERS

Your order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we send the confirmation email, and at that point the contract is formed. Occasionally we may have to decline — a piece has already sold, a price was listed in error, or we cannot ship to the address given. If we decline after payment, we refund in full.

Stock counts are kept as accurate as we can, but a piece can sell in the moment between your adding it to the bag and paying. If that happens we will tell you and refund you.

PAYMENT

Payment is taken by Stripe. We do not see or hold your card details. Your order is not confirmed until Stripe tells us the payment succeeded.

COMMISSIONS AND BESPOKE PIECES

A commission starts with a conversation, not a checkout. We agree the design, the materials, the price and a rough timeline before any money changes hands. Because a bespoke piece is made for you specifically and cannot be resold, a commission deposit is non-refundable once work has begun — we will always tell you when that point is reached. Timelines for handmade work are estimates given in good faith, not guarantees.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS

These are set out in the Shipping and Returns policies, which form part of these terms. In short: we ship from Montana, we will tell you when a parcel goes out, and an unworn piece can come back within the window stated in the Returns policy. Bespoke and commissioned pieces are excluded, for the reason above, except where the piece is faulty.

LESSONS AND PERFORMANCES

Aerial instruction carries a real risk of physical injury. Everyone taking a lesson must read and sign the Liability Waiver before their first session, and a parent or guardian must sign on behalf of anyone under eighteen. You are responsible for telling us about any injury, condition or pregnancy that might affect your safety, and we may decline or adapt a session on that basis.

Booking requests are not confirmed until we reply with a time and, where relevant, a price. Cancellation terms are given when a booking is confirmed.

Performance bookings are quoted per event, and depend on the rigging point and the room. A performance is only confirmed once the space has been assessed and agreed as safe. We may cancel a performance, with a full refund, if the rigging cannot be made safe on the day.

YOUR ACCOUNT

You do not need an account to buy — guest checkout is always available. If you make one, keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has them. We may suspend an account being used fraudulently or abusively.

OUR WORK

The designs, photographs, and written words on this site are ours. You are welcome to share them with credit and a link. You may not use them to sell anything, to train a model, or to pass the work off as your own.

If you send us photographs — of a commission brief, or of yourself wearing a piece — you keep them. You are giving us permission to use them in connection with your order or enquiry, and nothing more, unless you tell us otherwise in writing.

WHEN THINGS GO WRONG

We stand behind the making. If a piece arrives faulty, or a solder or setting fails in normal wear, write to us and we will repair, replace or refund it. That is separate from ordinary wear: silver tarnishes, and a piece worn daily for years will show it.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else which the law does not permit to be limited. Subject to that, our liability in connection with an order is limited to what you paid for it.

GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States, and the courts of Montana have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not take away rights you have under the law of the place you live.

CHANGES

When these terms change we publish a new version rather than editing this one, so the version you agreed to remains on record. The version number and date are shown at the top of this page.
